NHAI Unveils Project To Enhance Surveillance On Dwarka Expressway

The move signifies NHAI’s proactive approach in utilising technology to address road safety and traffic regulation. These advanced camera systems will be strategically positioned to monitor traffic flow, detect violations, and enable prompt responses to incidents or emergencies

In a bid to enhance surveillance and traffic management along the bustling Dwarka Expressway, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revealed plans to install 125 cameras. This initiative, spanning both Delhi and Gurugram roads, aims to improve safety and efficiency on one of the region’s busiest routes.

The move signifies NHAI’s proactive approach in utilising technology to address road safety and traffic regulation. These advanced camera systems will be strategically positioned to monitor traffic flow, detect violations, and enable prompt responses to incidents or emergencies.

Equipped with state-of-the-art Closed-Loop Television (CCTV) technology, the comprehensive surveillance network will facilitate real-time monitoring and data collection for effective traffic management. This will empower authorities to enforce traffic rules, discourage reckless driving behaviors, and ensure smoother traffic flow along the expressway.

The initiative aligns with NHAI’s broader objective of modernizing transportation infrastructure and enhancing road safety nationwide. By harnessing advanced camera systems and digital surveillance tools, NHAI aims to create safer and more efficient travel experiences for commuters and travelers on the Dwarka Expressway.

As NHAI proceeds with the implementation of this surveillance project, stakeholders anticipate significant improvements in traffic management and safety on the Dwarka Expressway. The enhanced surveillance capabilities provided by the camera network are expected to play a crucial role in ensuring smoother traffic flow and reducing congestion on this vital arterial road.
